Guest Post: Kara from A Little Bit of Lovely

Hi Friends!
I have another special treat for you today!
Please welcome Kara from A Little Bit of Lovely

Kara is a great blog friend and also a fellow Ohioan!
I am hoping to get up to her neck of the woods soon to do some shopping and meet her in person!!

Hi lovelies! I’m Kara from A Little Bit of Lovely and I am so happy to be here today. Since Sarah and I are both dog lovers, I thought I would share some of my favorite finds for my pup, Beck.
Beck is a 6 year old yellow Labrador Retriever. For as long as I can remember, I have loved labs. There is a teddy bear-type quality to them, and when they gaze up at you with those big, brown eyes they look so sweet and loving. Beck has such a friendly demeanor, is incredibly gentle with our toddlers, and is definitely considered a member of our family.
I first came across the Wacky Walk’r while at the Columbus Pet Expo. The array of bright color options originally caught my eye, but it was the fact that the leashes were made of rubber that really intrigued me. These fun leashes give your dog optimal range of movement, but discourage him from pulling. Since Beck had a bad habit of pulling, and neither training nor a harness seemed to resolve the issue completely, I gave this leash a try and have been so happy with it. If Beck ever does happen to pull or jerk while on a walk, I barely feel it and the leash corrects him.

I found this Royal Animal water-proof dog bed at Home Goods. Beck loves to play in the snow, go swimming, and go for walks in the rain. However, even after we dry him with a towel, he is still damp, so this bed is perfect for the laundry room, where he hangs out until he dries completely. I really like the fact that the bed dries on its own and if its gets muddy or dirty, we can just hose it off outside.
When Beck was just a few weeks old, he started acting listless and sick. He was having obvious tummy troubles and my heart just broke for the little guy. Our veterinarian suggested placing him on vet-prescribed dog food to see if that would solve the problem. After trying several expensive dog foods that didn’t make him better, and our vet not being able to find anything “wrong” with him, our vet suggested calling the breeder to see if we could return him. I cried and said I would not (and found a new vet!). Then, a co-worker of my husbands suggested Nutro Dog Food. At this point, I was willing to try anything to make him better. After one feeding of Nutro, Beck seemed better and within a week, his tummy troubles were gone, his coat was shinier, his eyes brighter, and he was active and happy. I love this product and can not rave about it enough.

I don’t know what I would do without my Dyson Animal vacuum. This thing sucks up dog hair like none other and comes with a special pet attachment that is great for vacuuming your furniture or the interior of your car. After seeing what it can do, I don't think I could ever go back to using another vacuum.

For special dog treats, unique toys, and OSU gear (go Bucks!), I head to Moochie and Company. You have to check out their website and their freshly baked pet cookies! I can’t help but oooo and aaahhh over these adorable dogs in their Halloween costumes by Moochie.

I’m curious. Do you dress your dog up for Halloween?
Thanks so much for having me today, Sarah! To enjoy some more loveliness, visit my blog here. xo

Thanks again Kara!
Maybe we can get Beck and Floyd together soon for a playdate!!

I <3 this post! I am going to have to try that leash with my pup; she also pulls me and she's getting pretty strong. I might need to upgrade my vacuum too ;-)
