WIWW : Floral and Flowy

I haven't done a WIWW post in a very, very long time but I am so obsessed with this dress that it needed to be showcased.

It's embroidered, has pockets (!) and is super comfy.

That's a trifecta of a win if you ask me. 

The lovely folks at eShakti graciously sent me this dress and I've twirled around in it no less than 3 times since it appeared.

The material is very soft and the embroidery work is so well done.

And what I really, really love is that the dress was made to fit me.  Just me! My waist, chest and height.  How perfect is that?

If we are attending an event together this summer you can guarantee there's a good chance I'm going go be wearing this dress.  On top of it's adorableness, it's so so comfy.  I'm tempted to sleep in it.

And, possibly my favorite part, it's a good twirler.  

Because we all know that's how you judge a dress.

What Floyd and I Wore

You guys may recall from here that Floyd's Grandma bought him a coat for Christmas.

And it was entirely too small.

Floyd may be short, low to the ground and seemingly small, but he certainly does not lack anything when it comes his length and width around the chest area.

Well much to Floyd's surprise he received a very special package in the mail recently.

Addressed to him, nonetheless.

Grandma felt bad about his coat not fitting and could not stand the thought of him being out on walks without a coat.

Floyd is here today to debut the new coat.

Monogrammed and all. Because if your awesome Gma is going to get you a fancy new coat, you certainly can't be strutting around the neighborhood without your name on it.  That would just be ridiculous.

 Do you like my coat?

I, personally, think he looks SO handsome and ooh and ahh over him every single time I put it on him.

I'm not kidding when I say that he STRUTS down the sidewalk with his coat on.

Homeboy knows how good he looks.
This is the coat from Land's End and Floyd is wearing the XL- just for reference for all you dog mamas.

And because I couldn't be left out of a WIW post, here is a recent outfit I wore to work.

Random and WIW Wednesday

I haven't done a WIWW lately and since Mister and I got dressed up for our date on Friday I had him snap a few pictures for me!

In other news...

1. I can't get enough of Hunter Haye's song 'Wanted'.  Do we know how old he is? His picture on my Pandora makes him look like he is about 12 and it's been weirding me out how much I like his music.

2.  While I'm not belting it out to Hunter I've been listening (yes a book on cd because I'm a dork) to 'Broken Harbor' per Anne's recommendation.  Even though I'm only a few chapters in, I can tell this is going to be a good one.  And speaking of book recommendations, if you need any check out Anne's blog or Tara's- they have been my go to's lately.  I also just joined Goodreads and have been trying to navigate it. All Sorts of Random

Hiiiya.

I am all over the board today so try to hang with me.

First up my Random Wednesday

 1. This outfit. I randomly threw it together the other morning and actually liked the way it turned out.

What I did not like was when I went to go pose for these shots I fell, stumbled and knocked 2 frames off the wall.

I'll spare you the picture that Mister caught.

2. I heard the TERRIBLE news yesterday that they aren't bringing the Target lady back this year.

Excuse me.

No one asked me about this.

I LOOOOVE the Target lady.

I even had her 'Fa La La La' song as my ringtone last Christmas.

I may start a petition, who's with me?

3. I caught Floyd chomping on a bottle of acrylic paint the other day.
Although he did have enough sense to choose the glittery champagne color, everyone needs some glitter in their life.
Apparently he's jealous of all the DIYing I've been doing and that he hasn't been in on the action.

And now for Saw It Pinned It Do It

 kind of in reverse this week.
I was perusing Pinterest for more outfits to wear my beloved red jeans with and came across the outfits below solidifying the fact that you can wear red and khaki/tan together.

 Phew.
It wasn't just early morning delirium.
