Total Basset Case: We're Around

We're Around

The Mister and I are on the go a lot.
Like, a whole lot.
But, by nothing short of a miracle,
we are home (as far as I know) for the next 3 weekends!
This is unheard of for us and I could not be more excited!

While we do love to go go go, see friends and family and travel,
being home is just as nice sometimes.

Because of this we have put together
(an ever growing) list of some things we want to
accomplish while we are home.
I'm hopeful that a lot of these things will get done
but I know that life (and fun with friends) can
always come up and derail those plans.
BUT here is to hoping and being successful!

Here is our list:
  • Install new fan in the Mister's bathroom
  • Fill holes on deck (we had a carpenter bee issue that I am NOT happy about)
  • Patch hole in my bathroom (we had a towel bar go awry)
  • Paint my bathroom (I just came up with this one...)
  • Organize recipe binder
  • Clean up yard for fall
  • Put away (and blog about) inherited items
  • Deep clean sofa
  • Create new art for over bed (This is going to be a Mister DIY- I smell a guest post)
  • Clean both of our cars
  • Mount TV
  • Get rid of a few big items- Craigslist/Ebay/Goodwill run
Here is hoping and the motivation to get these things done!
I'm sure that this list will continue to grow...

P.s. I got my 'Keep Calm and Blog On' shirt last night that I ordered from Steph.
 I LOVE it!

Any tips for making sure we get all of these things accomplished?

I've just had my first Craigslist experience this past week! We were able to sell a bed frame, mattress, box springs and kitchen chairs! I feel like we have a new place with all of the space we have. Good luck with all your projects - being home is the best!

Well I was going to say make a list, but you've done that :) So my suggestion is divide and conquer!

I need to paint my bedroom!
I said I would do it right after I got home from vacation in the US, but then, I got a job...
and on my weekends I just feel the the "fun with friends" is so important! :o)
lol

good luck getting all items (or most items) on your list done!

Great list ! I'm still trying to get past the fact that you and the Mister have your own bathrooms! :) Must be nice!!!!

it seems like our never ending list of things to do around the house keep us from doing what we would really like to do on the weekend, go to the beach, hang out with friends, etc.

What a list! I recommend picking one thing every few weeks to get it done :) I usually write it on our chalkboard in the kitchen or on a paper I can put up so that we can make sure and check things off :) Good luck! I'm your newest follower.

We are so similar! I literally need to do everything on this list! My goal is to get one room done so I can start doing my home tour pictures. It's sad that I still have not gotten everything un packed yet.
We'll be home for the next few weekends too, and I am hoping to get lots done! Good luck girl :)

Good luck checking things off your list! Last summer I made my meal planning/recipe binder and it seriously changed my life!

WOW!!! Good luck with all that! I wish I had some tips, but my list is still a mile long and summer is almost over!! Love that shirt!! So fun! I have seen them popping up on Instagram!!

Your list sounds a lot like mine! Painting the bathroom is on my list for sure. I even have a color selected (Sherwin Williams Sea Salt), it's the the whole "execution" that is lacking. I might actually agree with the divide and conquer assignments here...because obviously you don't want your fella to help with the recipe binder, right? So put him on the the cars for that time :)
