Total Basset Case: Labor Day Weekend Wrap Up

Labor Day Weekend Wrap Up

Three day weekends may be the best thing, ever.
Ours was a very nice mix of relaxing and fun.
Friday night we had a deeelicious dinner at Katie's house with her and her husband, Derek.
And we finally got to meet Brutus!
Floyd even got to join the dinner party and got some special bones from Katie.
(I went with the leopard skirt, thanks for the votes, Instagram friends!)
You guys, that salad was amazing.
I'm still thinking about it.
Pears, avocado, blue cheese, and glazed nuts.

Saturday we laid low, hung around the house
and accomplished some weekend things.
Saturday night we played a few crazy rounds of Uno with Pepper's parents.
And Floyd scored even more special treats from Pepper's mama.

Sunday we had a wedding in our hometown
and so we headed home in the early afternoon.
Floyd rode like this the majority of the time.
The wedding was outdoors and there was a 90% chance of rain all day.
When we first arrived, it was kinda drizzling but nothing too terrible.
As soon as the bridal party started down the aisle, the rain magically stopped.
It was really amazing and the wedding was beautiful!

Because of the call of rain, I went with a top knot for the evening.
It was a great night with friends!
Surprisingly, we did not plan this pink party!

Back to the grind, thank goodness it's a 4 day week!

How was your weekend?

That salad sounds delicious. I would have never thought to put in a little avocado.

Where did you get that precious skirt??

I noticed that the common theme this weekend was Floyd getting treats from people. Can't say I blame them--he's such a lovable guy! Your top knot looks fab! Every single time I try to do it, it gets knotted, messy, and unmanageable looking. Not exactly the look I'm going for...

My mouth is watering thinking about that salad. And I plan to only eat salads for the next 10 days to detox from my Seattle trip this past weekend.

Sounds like an amazing yet relaxing labor day you had!

Haha I was gonna say! You guys look like the bridesmaids because it's the exact same color.
