Total Basset Case: Summer Bucket List

Summer Bucket List

I love the start of a new month and especially one that signifies the start of summer.
The first of the month always makes me want to break out my notepad and get to listing all of my to dos for that month.
At any normal time I have about 43 different to do lists going on and this month is no exception.
The Mister and I have 0 travel plans the entire month of June and I am determined to knock some things off our list.
Whether it be around the house, around the city (or state) or DIYing some things, we are going to be productive gosh darn it
I love nothing more than having fun AND getting to cross things off a list!

We both love being outside and doing/learning more about Cincinnati and so we sat down the other night and listed (well, clearly, I listed with multiple colored coordinated pens) our 'to dos' around the house and the city for the summer.
Yes, many of those things may or may not include eating.
Brunching: We have been in Cincy for years and have not brunched hardly at all! I LOVE brunch and I am so sad we haven't done more.  There are some great places around town and I'm ready to check them out!
Take Floyd to Wags- Wags is the 'fancy' dog park in town and we love taking Floyd to it.  They have a big, open area, a pond and a dock to play on...puppy dreamworld!
Columbus- I had so much fun when the girls and I went to Columbus with the girls a few months ago and have been dying to take Mister back to show him around.  Plus Jeni's is there and it's worth a 2 hour drive to eat. Not kidding.
Yellowsprings- I first heard of Yellowsprings last summer and it seems like a very adorable little spot in Ohio that we need to see!

And that's our plan!
What's on your summer bucket list??

Our summer bucket includes finding a puppy! We are looking for Basset Hounds which led me to your blog. Floyd is SO adorable! My parents had a basset hound when I was growing up and I just love them.
Have a good summer!

I grew up like 10 min away from Yellow Springs! I love it, and the parks there are amazing. If you haven't been to brunch at Teller's you should def go- that is my favorite brunch spot. And I've heard the National Exemplar is great too, but we haven't been. Good luck with your list!

That's a great to-do list!! The dog park sounds wonderful!! My to-do list is filled with mini projects around my apartment (like clearing things out) and I would love to visit my husband's mom up in sacramento. I'm going on a family vacay to Santa Barbara for a wine tasting festival and celebrating my 30th bday....those are the big things for me :)

I'm so pumped for Wags. If you can figure out a way to stream Floyd, live, while you're there - that would just be fantastic.

Is Wags the one in Newtown? If so it's right by our church and we always pass it and wish we had a pup to take to it, lol!!

I need to get up to Columbus, too! 3 of my college roomies all live there!

What a fun list! Chris and I am hoping to explore more of Dallas this summer. Chris grew up here and hasn't seen half of what the city has to offer!

Drew and I went to the big Art festival in Yellow Springs last year and stayed in a little bed and breakfast. Email me if you end up going and want some cool places to go! Love your list. I have my summer bucket list made up and ready to post soon.

I would love for you to post about fun things you do in Cincinnati. I keep thinking we need to go to a Reds game and spend a long weekend in Cincy but I'm not sure what else to do. And like you said about C-bus I'm only 2 hours away so I need to make this happen :)
