Weekend Wrap Up: Mama Visit {Giveaway}

Oh Monday.
Boo.

This weekend my mama came to visit and we had a great time!
Floyd is always besides himself when Gma is here to see him.
She got to our house before we were home from work and surprised Floyd.
I'm certain he was beside himself with excitement.
After work we grilled out and celebrated my mama's belated birthday with cake and presents!
I made this chocolate cookie cake and it was delish! The frosting is one that I will definitely be using again for other desserts.

Saturday was full of shopping and eating!
(as all perfect Saturdays are)
I found some rugs for my new and improved bathroom and helped mom pick out some things for her house! We met Bethany for lunch to refuel and then headed back out to shop more.
We headed to dinner at one of our favorites, Padrinos and it fabulous as always.
Their summer shandies are to die for and I am still dreaming about them.
And what's a great summer evening if not rounded out by ice cream...Orange Leaf it was!
Sunday was full of more shopping, errands and cleaning.
We spent the afternoon prepping for an exciting week ahead in our house.
We have some working going on at the house (can't wait to show you!) and throwing this pretty one a shower this weekend.  Lots of pink going on!

Remember the 'caption this' challenge from Friday?
Well Yi-chia is our winner with the comment
"I hope she talks about my good looks in this post"
We decided that sounded just like Floyd!

And how about a giveaway to brighten up this Monday?
I recently discovered Gigglosophy and am in looove!
That mint bracelet has not left my wrist since it arrived in my mailbox.
I have been obsessed with mint lately and I can never say no to a good chunky bracelet to add to my arm party.
But that isn't the only cute thing from the shop, every single piece is adorable.
I can't get over these love bracelets...how stinkin cute!!
You ladies are in luck today because Gigglosophy has offered to give away a $30 shop credit to one lucky reader! How awesome is that? I don't know how you are going to narrow down your favorite because they are all fabulous!
To enter, just leave a comment with your favorite piece and a winner will be announced on Thursday!

Linking up with Sami!

I do not need another source for great jewelry... but I am sooo tempted by that love bracelet and all of the pave chain necklaces.

Sounds like a great weekend - and I'm excited about the shower for next weekend too. Needed to be able to buy at least ONE girly baby outfit, right?!

Sounds like an ideal weekend! Lots of shopping & eating always sounds good in my book :)

I think I like the spike bracelets the best in gold!

The bracelets look just like the ones from Sophistifunk - and they are only $8 each there.

Um, shopping, shopping and more shopping?! I envy your childless life. I'm resigned to the online realm for now...so buying from etsy is perfect for me! I'll take the Resin and Pave link bracelet.

Marathon shopping sounds exactly like the type of event I'd like to take part in..this will obviously be necessary when I visit.

I love your mint one, Sarah! I really need one of those because I just got a little mint skirt with white polka dots that I am crazy about. The little gold one with initials is also nice.

It might be too late to enter (that's okay if it is.) I love the multi-colored pave link bracelet. So fun. And not to mention versatile.
