With my biggest race to date looming in the near (really near) future my mind is focusing on 1. crossing the finish line and 2. what I am going to reward myself with once I cross said finish line (besides ice cream of course).
I've said it before, I have to have goals and rewards for myself with my running or else I wouldn't get nearly as far (literally and figuratively).

Cute running gear is at the very top of my shopping list, always.
I've been scooping out what I want after my race and have narrowed down my choices.
This Target tank (in pink) is #1 on my radar at the moment.
How cute is that and is it me or does it look like a similar (much higher priced store we all know and love?)
Come fall I am going to need some long running pants...anyone tried these
The reviews on the site are fantastic.  I have to say, a good pair of running pants are hard to find. I've tried many a pair on that feel like they are eating me alive in a  slow, spandex death.

I have consistently heard great things about Old Navy's compression pants and I love the pattern on these ones.
Speaking of fall (no I'm not ready for it yet, just looking ahead), I think this hoodie needs to make it into my life. Either for running or just running around town...comfy city.
This jacket is also super adorable.

And I can never pass up a good racer back work out tank or like this one

So what should I go for after my race?
Cute tank, compression pants, running pants, running skirt?!
The options are endless, which would you choose??

I think you should reward yourself with one item for each mile that you've never run before! If my math isn't failing me that means 3 well deserved new items!

My friend wore a tennis skirt for her half marathon and I thought that was the cutest idea.

I'm currently on week four of a ten week training program for a September ten mile race. It's the most I've ever ran and I'm nervous!

I have that hooded zip up from Target in the neon color!

I need to start thinking about running pants, too. I have the same discomfort issues, so if you do go with pants options, please share the verdict! :)

Too funny I saw that tank at Target over the weekend and thought to myself it looks identical to one I got a lululemon a while ago. At a third of the price!

I LOVE that top. I have been wanting one so bad because I hate running in anything too tight.

Good luck! You're going to do great. My ice cream prize of choice after a half marathon is a big ol' chocolate shake, which I highly recommend... And I love my Old Navy workout pants - tempted to try those leggings you showed! Also the hoodie. Love me some workout gear.

I love it that, regardless of what we are doing, first thing to consider is "What to wear...?" It's in the chromosomes! And do they make that wonderful compression wear in industrial strength for we ladies with a gravity issue? :)

You need a "running" label! I just came to find your suggestions (I've decided to reward my almost-can-run-a-5k status with some new gear).
