Weekend Wrap Up : Birthdays and Baby Boy

This past weekend my mama came up to visit and celebrate her birthday!

We had a weekend full of shopping and celebrating on our agenda and that is just what we did!

We were on a hunt to find a glider...Target finally to the rescue on that one.

We also managed to pick up a fewwww clothing items.

This little boys closet is growing by the day.

But you really cannot deny the cutest of tiny things on tiny hangers.  And why would you want to?!

We were able to find a small scale play pen and Floyd did his duty of checking it out.

Saturday night we celebrated with steaks and DELICIOUS cupcakes.  The only thing missing was a glass of red wine ;)

Sunday we had the fun opportunity to hang out with my favorite fashion designer, Mayhem.

Sydney and her mom put on an AWESOME event and invited friends to help them make versions of Sydney's pot holders to be sold to help Nothing But Nets.  We were more than happy to help such a WONDERFUL cause and spend the morning with some friends.  The pot holders are currently for sale up on their site...keep checking back if they are sold out, more will be available!

Between that and trying to stay out of the heat, that was our weekend in a nutshell.  It was thankfully wrapped up with a nap on the sofa with Floyd :)

Whirlwind Weekend

Wowzer we got a lot done this weekend!

Friday night we had an impromptu dinner date with the neighbors for some yummy Mexican.

I will never say no to chips and salsa with friends.

Saturday was full of bootcamp, coffee with friends and cleaning.

The weather was SO amazing (and by amazing, I mean above 40) and it just put me in the mood to clean.  We opened the windows to let some fresh air in and Floyd I got to cleanin!

I have that terrible habit of just going to wipe the counters down and then the next thing I know I am on the ground wiping the baseboards down.  Anyone else do that?

And if you do, can you come to my house and wipe every corner in my house down?  Floyd takes to scratching his nose on all the corners.  So every single corner in our house about 18" above the floor is dirty with whatever in the world is on his nose.

Mister and I spent the rest of the day shopping (I basically want every item from J.Crew Factory right now) and catching up with friends.

Sunday was full of church, errands (Target, duh) and helping the neighbors with a fun new project.  Alexis and I got to hang out with a special friend for the afternoon and she kept us on our toes.

Sunday night was a neighborhood dinner party around our table and I wouldn't have it any other way!

And then by Sunday at about 10pm we finally landed on the couch.  Monday must you come so soon?

Things That Make Me Smile

How about a few doses of happy on this Friday?

1. It's finally warmer!

Let's all just take a second and rejoice in that.

2.  Anniversaries with my love (a full recap and gift guide to come next week).

Thank you everyone for your sweet notes yesterday.
We had the best evening...drinks and dinner out at to new (to us) places downtown and both where very, very scrumptious.

So I'm sure by now you've seen #fashionbymayhem floating ALL over the internet.

Well, turns out that doll face lives in Cincy and I was lucky enough to run into her at Costco earlier this week.  She is just as adorable in person and her mama is the sweetest.  If you aren't following their instagram, you should get on that, stat and prepare to smile the rest of the day.  And also want to break out your craft supplies.
