Scarves, Shoes and Sprouts

You know when you come across items and think 'man I really love this!'
Here are a few of mine that I am loving lately.

I have longingly been lusting over a Lululemon Vinyasa scarf for a very long time now, because I need scarves like I need a hole in my head...
Thankfully Kait knew of this obsession and sent me one for my birthday and it has basically not left my neck since.
I am in the midst of mastering all the ways to wear it from this video

Another thing I have been lusting over, for much, much longer, are Tory Burch Reva Flats.  Specially the gold with the gold, metal medallion.  For the longest time I refused to spend that much money on shoes. And then when I decided to bite the bullet and treat myself, I set out to buy them and found out they stopped making them.  They made the gold with gold, leather medallion but no longer with the metal medallion.  After some foot stomping and tears, I gave up and threw in the towel.
Fast forward to my 30th...here comes Mister swooping in...
What the what?  'But they stopped making them!' is all I could say.  I still do not know where or how he found these but I am NOT complaining.  I still cannot believe they are mine!
He also tracked down the one of only two pairs of Hunters boots at any Nordstrom Rack in the USA so that I could (and I quote him) 'kick my 30s off in style!'  #lovehim

This is a two fold one...I've mentioned that I LOVE my Kindle Fire that my mama gave me for Christmas.  (p.s. any good apps I need?).
My library offers downloadable ebooks which is such a great feature, gotta love free and local libraries!  But I've also recently discovered Book Bub.  In short, it is like Netflix for ebooks!  They send you a daily email with titles that are free or just a few bucks to download!   You really cannot beat that!

Speaking of things we really want, Mister has been dying for a Vitamix for awhile now.  Well my mama is fantastic and gave him (a refurbished-so much cheaper) one for Christmas.  Mister is in love and so am I.  We have literally used it every day since we've had it.  Smoothies, soup, oat flour crusher, sauces, marinades; you name it, we have put it in there.  I have been centering part of my weekly meal plans around what I am can make in the Vitamix.  Do I sound like the demo man at Costco yet?

And the last one you have to hear me out on...we have really been loving brussels sprouts.  I used to be adamantly against brussels sprouts but we recently had them at a friends and I could not get enough.  We have started making them a few times a week at our house and gobbling them up!  If you have any good recipes for them, please send them our way!

Product Love: Primpin

I'm back today with another round of my newest favorite products.
I love reading product reviews on other blogs and hope you guys enjoy mine as well!
On tap today I have some of my recent primping loves and necessities!
Primpin1.  Drip Knots: 'Because getting clean shouldn't be dirty.' Hallelujah! I have a confession...I often skip washing my face at night (if I haven't showered) because I hate getting all wet.  I always end up with water all over my hair and down my arm and sleeves.  Drip Knots to the rescue! My MIL gave me these for Christmas and I have been in love ever since.  My hair and sleeves are ever thankful to her!  It may look a little ridiculous on but I'm telling you they work and definitely worth it!

2. Velvet Huggable Hangers: These are a MUST buy.  I picked up a big pack of these at Costco awhile back and have slowly been switching out all the hangers in my closet.  But I have a secret for you...get them at the dollar store, TJ Maxx or Marshalls, much cheaper at those places!  These are perfect for silky blouses and especially tank tops.  Nothing falls off of them because the velvet keeps them snuggly in place.  And they are thinner than normal hangers so you can fit more in your closet.  Win and win.

3. ELF Moisturizer: This was a random ELF purchase but I love it just the same as I do all my others.  It is great for a quick swipe of moisturizer in the morning or before bed.  I don't always love the lotion type moisturizers because I feel like they always get everywhere or I squeeze too much out, so this is definitely a good compromise.  However, speaking of, my regular moisturizer is running out...any tips on a good one I should pick up? (I am also in the market for new bronzer, without sparkles, any favorites?)

4.  Curling Wand: I think I mentioned that Mister got me this wand for Valentine's Day and I am officially in love! It does take some getting used to and playing with to get the hang of but I figured it out pretty quickly.  Also the curls seem to stay for long than they do with a normal iron.  I was able to rock my wand waves for 2 days straight last week.  And I know better than to fry my hair off...I think we've all seen that video by now.

5.  Makeup Organizer: I picked up this vanity organizer at Target the other day after I was tired of digging through my makeup bag to find what I needed.  The one I have has 4 compartments and fits all of my daily makeup perfectly! I love that I know where everything is and it keeps my makeup clean and tidy!

What have you been loving lately?
Any products (or moisturizers and/or bronzers) I should know about?

Put Some Neo On It

Sorry for the lack of a post yesterday...Bark in the Park got the best of us.
That and the 100 pictures we took...more on that later this week.

And moving on,
I have a few things in my medicine cabinet that I just can not live without.
Any with all things that I love, I must share them with you!

Aside from the usual items in my cabinet: deodorant, gummy vitamins (far superior to regular 'ol vitamins), tylenol, q tips, etc. there are a couple of things I just have to have at all times.
The one I feel most strongly about it is...
Neosporin
I am convinced that Neo heals all.
All.
Whatever it is, you can put Neo on it and it will get better.
I am constantly trying to get Mister to use Neo/put it on his ailments.
To this day, he refuses to do, claiming it doesn't work.
One day, he will come around.
He has stopped telling me about his ailments/bumps/bruises because he knows that I will just tell him to 'put some Neo on it'.

Case in point this conversation happened the other night while I was already in bed:
Me: Mister, will you bring me some Neo??
Mister: Absolutely not, you do not need in bed.
Me: Pllllease.  Just put a little on your finger and I'll swipe it off.
*stares blankly
Mister: You have lost your mind. No.
*turns off the light
Leaving me to stumble in the dark to get some Neo.
#howrude

What did I want Neo for and what is my #1 use for Neo...
acne spots.
No joke. Has anyone else tried this?
I swear it clears up acne SO fast.
Especially if you put it on over night and it has time to work it's magic
Don't be like Mister, try it, I promise it works wonders.

Floyd is also a victim of my Neo use.
I put it on his paws when he has scuffed them up or played too much at camp.
Works like a charm.
He also likes the taste of Neo, exhibited by the fact that he once ate an entire tube.
Neo, near and dear to my heart.

The second item I feel pretty strongly about is:  Pepogest
Elise introduced me to Pepogest a few years ago and it has been a lifesaver more than once.
Any time I have the slightest stomach ache (or had a few too many the night before)
Pepogest saves the day every single time.
I swear it starts working within 10 minutes of taking it.
It is made of the essential oils found in peppermint and quickly soothes and settles your stomach.
Be aware that it may make you burp and it will make your mouth taste like mint- which is totally fine with me but I know some people hate the taste of mint.
(they are clearly nuts...thin mints anyone?)
I buy mine at the vitamin store or from Amazon.

And lastly, but not least by any means, Baby Powder
My mom has always used baby powder but it is a new addition to my medicine cabinet.
Besides it's wonderful smell, baby powder can do wonders for your hair in a magic dry shampoo way.
You guys know my love for the Suave dry shampoo BUT
there are days when the Suave just doesn't make the cut and baby powder comes to the rescue.
Days when I probably should have washed my hair
A sprinkle here and a sprinkle there at your roots and voila!
Just make sure you take the time the rub it in if you have super dark hair like mine.

Any one else have crazy medicine cabinet obsessions like me?

What I'm Loving Lately

There are a few things that I am excited about
and loving lately and figured I should share them with you guys!
It would just be rude if I didn't, right?
That's what friends are for after all!

1.  Countdown to the weekend
I am heading to Chicago on Thursday to spend the
weekend with all of the besties.
I can.not.wait.
Excited is an understatement.
(and, hey, who doesn't love a Friday off work?)
There will be lots of girl talk and celebrating going on.
This forecast isn't too shabby either
I'll be back after the weekend with a photo dump to the max.

2. New Sunnies
I was able to score these Prada sunnies at a
special sale this weekend for 25 bones!

3. Getting pulled over
WHAT?
Let me explain!
I got pulled over on Saturday while going home to visit my mama.
Why am I loving it?!
Well, even though I probably was going too fast
I only got a verbal warning.
Probably didn't hurt that I had a floppy ear basset with me.
I mean, how can you give that face a ticket??

4.  Cupcake Red Velvet
I have been obsessed with this wine lately.
I usually like to try different wines every time I go to the store
but this one keeps making it way in my cart.
And for less than $10 you can't beat it.
You can bet a bottle of this has already been purchased for the weekend!

 5. Instagram
Guys, I can not get enough of instagram.
It has become my go to for updates
(with Twitter being a close second)
This was my Saturday night via instagram:
Snuggling with the pup and movie watching with my mama

What Im Loving: Food Products

If you have been reading this blog for any amount of time, you know 'ol girl over here likes to eat.

Here are a few of my favorite snack items
Some old and some new discoveries

I literally can not stop eating these.
Thank goodness for Costco and their ginormous bags.

A classic...again the Costco size is a must.
Veggie straws are divine dipped in hummus (or so I've heard)

Carbonated Water
I'm not very good at drinking water throughout the day
but if I have one of these, I seem to guzzle it down...must be the bubbles

Yum.
These wines are produced by Food Network.
Great find for less than $12.
They're site is here with some usual info.

I know I am a little late to the boat on this one
but now I fully understand what everyone is raving about.

What are some of your favorite snacks?

What I'm Loving

I thought I would share with you a few things I'm mildly obsessed with (as of late).
I figured you guys would want to know about them.

1. Bare Minerals
Omg who let me go so long without this stuff?
I love how easy it is to wear and does not feel like I have makeup on.
And have you seen their eye shadow colors? Gorge.
2. Camera card reader
The Mister got me this handy USB contraption that I can put my camera card in and then plug it into my computer.
This means I don't have to hook up my big camera to my computer every time I want to upload pictures.

3. 44oz Vanilla Diet Cokes from Sonic
I know I've mentioned these bad boys before but seriously.
I get one ev.er.y Thursday morning.
I count down all week until it is Thursday.
And I have been getting some free ones on my receipts lately.
Double score!

4.Wedge Boots
I recently scored these (similar) boots for my birthday and I am obsessed.
The Mister is not a fan of these...that just makes me wear them more.

5. Dutch Oven
Oh Mama I love this thing.
Speaking of Mamas...mine got me this one for my birthday.
It's heavy duty, huge and amazing.
I've already made a few soups in it and they have turned out great!
