Total Basset Case: Fridays with Floyd: Park

Fridays with Floyd: Park

We often take Floyd to the dog park near our house so he can:
-socialize with other dogs
-run off some energy
-have a change of scenery

Floyd does 0 of those things when we are at the park.
Instead he:

 Wanders by himself

Ignores the other dogs

Judges the other dogs

Yawns (with drool)

And all of that wild and crazy activity at the park inevitably leads to this:

Going to the park is exhausting.

Roscoe does the same thing at the parks here in Nashville.

HAHAHA this is a very familar story to me. Fred drooled and yawned all over dog parks in Brooklyn and Seattle. If he was feeling peppy, occasionally he'd halfheartedly try to hump the closest lady dog.

Hahahaha I just LOVE that Floyd. He has some swagger, that one.

Shelby does the same thing! She just sits in the corner and stares at the other dogs!

Bahhaa- so funny! Floyd's the man! ;)

hahaha I think I love Floyd, and I've never even met him. To the contrary, Pierre is WIDE OPEN at the dog park...for about 10 minutes. And that's all he can take. He then proceeds to flop down and pant like he's dying all the way home.

I seriously just laughed at loud! HAHAHA Floyd is hilarious; gotta love that guy!

Have a great weekend Sarah!

LOL Rocky is totally like this. He will socialize for a bit then expect other dogs to follow him around. He is so judgemental too!

Hahaha. I like him already. Who needs to play with other dogs anyway he's clearly too busy for them.

Floyd is a people/dog watcher. I can't blame him... I'm the same way. ;)

Even if I hadn't seen a picture I'd know Floyd was a basset just by his behavior :)
