Weekend Wrap Up: Besties, Babies and Bulldogs

Whew.
Monday you came way too soon (even with that extra hour).

I traveled again this weekend (this is the last one for awhile, thank goodness) to see my bff who just had her first baby a few weeks ago!
Our friend Laura met us there too and we had great weekend of besties, babies and bulldogs.

Friday night we relaxed, had girl time and played with the baby.
And munched on a delicious treat (I'll be sharing the recipe later this week).

Saturday our friend Farhan came into town to hang out with us as well.
We started the day out lunch and beers.
I had a fajita quesdilla burger...two things I love wrapped up together.
It was DELICIOUS.
We also had these garlic parmesan chips, dipped in ranch, of course.

We then headed to Lau Nae Winery and enjoyed a few samples and a glass of wine.
After the winery we headed to Kaskaskia Brewery to sample some beers.
 Really, really good beers.
And that flight was $5. You just can't beat that.

Sunday we had a lazy morning and snuggled that adorable baby and the bulldog some more.
King Leon, love him.

Thank goodness for book tapes because 6 hours in the car by yourself is not the easiest thing in the world.
I listed to and (almost finished) Still Missing.
So far I am loving it.
It is an intense book but I think it is well written and definitely kept my interest.

And to round out a really great weekend, I came home to a VERY clean and organized house thanks to the Mister (and Floyd helped too).
He also did a DIY project this weekend that I can not wait to share with you!

How was your weekend?

Linking up with Sami Dana and Leeann.

Sounds like a fun weekend!! When I drive home it is 7 hours and it's definitely not fun. Maybe I need to borrow your book on tape! :)

Just stopping by to ask if you and Floyd would be interested in doing a guest post on my blog! I am hoping to get some of my favorite doggie bloggers to do one!

That dog is adorable (but not as adorable as Floyd of course!) You are a traveling nut lately! Hope you'll have an easy week of work.
