Floyd Chomps on Pork Chomps {Giveaway}

Dec 18, 2013

As we know, Floyd is the star of the show around here.
And our house.
And so when this HUGE box of goodies showed up on our doorstep, I knew it was for none other than the hound himself.
I didn't tell Floyd but Pork Chomps contacted me and asked me to ask Floyd if he was willing to try out some of their 100% rawhide free treats.  I said, of course he would! Ol boy loves to eat!

I may have mentioned a time or two that Mr. Floyd has quite the sensitive stomach and we have to very careful about what goes in his little hound dog belly.
We do not (much to Floyd's dismay) feed him rawhides because we know they aren't good for his system.   Thankfully Pork Chomps are rawhide free, which means they good to go in our house!
These pork chomps are 99% digestible and odor, stain and mess free and we can attest to that.
The more digestible these are, the safer they are for dogs and Floyd if they were to swallow a large piece.
And that gives this mama peace of mind.
Floyd had his first chomp sweet potato bone last weekend when we had some friends over for dinner and we did not hear a PEEP from him for at least 30 minutes.
I know everyone thinks Floyd is an angel at all moments but that is not the case.  He is rascal a lot of the time and often into a lot of things.  He has never been a bone chewer so for him to sit, occupied for that long is a miracle and a true testament to the tastiness of these!
His other favorite are the Baked Stripz.  I like these too because they are on the smaller size but he thinks he's getting a whole bone and keeps him busy for a while.

And as a testament to how awesome the people at Pork Chomps are they are offering a giveaway to 2 (!) of Floyd's besties!  Just comment below with the size of your dog (prize will be given based on the size of your dog s/m/l) and one thing on their Christmas list.
And for an extra entry 'like' their Facebook page here!

And if you don't win, all of your doggies told me they would love some Pork Chomps in their stockings ;)

my Tucker is an 80 pound Golden Retriver, and a new couch is on his Christmas list since he's eaten parts of our current one twice :) Pork Chomps would probably deter him from chewing the poor couch up even more :)

I just envision Floyd being all "I love having a mom who blogs" as soon as he opened that box.

Ashley December 18, 2013 at 9:38 AM

I used to have a dog growing up that could open his own Xmas presents under the tree, it was adorable. Looks like you have one happy guy:)

Betty December 18, 2013 at 9:56 AM

Dudley is a 95 pound airedale! He has put several things on his christmas list: new bones, tennis balls, and popcorn.

Julie December 18, 2013 at 9:56 AM

My dog Lily is a doberman, so she's a big doggie. But she thinks she's a small lap dog most of the time. Ha. Her Christmas list consists of stuffed toys with squeakers and treats, treats, treats. Those Pork Chomps sound like they'd be right up her alley. :-)

Jill December 18, 2013 at 9:58 AM

As a small dog and bona-fide-member of "Floyd's Friends," Miss Lilly (and her obnoxious sister Taffy) would love to get some Pork Chomps products for Christmas! ;)

Floyd looks in hog heaven nose deep in that box!!

Jill December 18, 2013 at 9:58 AM

I liked Pork Chomps on Facebook too! I'm guessing this is what Floyd had stuck to his ear this weekend? hahaha

I guess my bassets are large? Where does Floyd fit in, size-wise? And they both get new collars for Christmas (the old ones are a little ratty).

Danielle December 18, 2013 at 11:10 AM

Huckleberry is a large! :) Chunkster. And lots and lots of hotdogs are on his Christmas list!

Jenna Z December 18, 2013 at 11:15 AM

We have Dot, a 35 pound Brittany who wants Doggles for Christmas so she can zoom through the underbrush without getting gunk in her eyes. And Taco, a 38 pound lab-pit mix, who wants a squeaky toy which he promises not to disembowel. But I don't believe him!

Sarah Tucker December 18, 2013 at 11:16 AM

My Jazzy is a 37 lb basset hound beagle mix, and I'm sure she'd love pork chomps as much as Floyd!

Chelsea Edwards December 19, 2013 at 11:40 AM

Walter is medium, I think? (Assuming Floyd was!) And Walter's hoping to get Henrietta for Christmas after killing his last one last year. It's the most annoying toy, but he gets so excited about it (http://www.amazon.com/Charming-79888L-Large-Henrietta-Chicken/dp/B000OWI254). Floyd probably needs one!

Chelsea Edwards December 19, 2013 at 11:40 AM

I liked them on FB! Thanks for the fun giveaway!

SheaVH December 19, 2013 at 3:12 PM

Mack is a 9 month old Boxer (who also exhibits Frito smelling paws) who chews EVERYTHING! He would love a few dozen more tennis balls for Christmas (;

A basset hound owns me. Her name is Belle. She is extra heavy, at 68 pounds. I will need to look for some of these treats for Miss Belle.

Gatsby is a 25 lb 10 month old corgi, and he's hoping Santa Paws will bring him a brand new cow foot and a Kong Wobbler for Christmas. And maybe a subscription to Barkbox :)
