Half Way Point

Hope everyone and a nice weekend!
We sure did, very, very low key and it was just the way I like it!
Floyd and I ventured to Lowes to pick up yet more flowers for the yard (I can't stop!)

Seeing as how we are half way through 2014 (how in the world?!) I thought it was a good time to give you an update on how our goals are going!
As you know, we've always kept our goals on our fridge and I think this helps a TON in actually getting things done and crossed off the list.
Often big, lofty resolutions are made on January 1st and then quickly fizzle out by around January 15th.  I like writing down goals that I know are reachable, some that take a bit work and a few reach goals.  As in, I know it's not in me to run 1,000 miles in one year, but 500 seemed like an attainable goal.  And so far it was been (you can see my miles down the page)! I'm currently at 244 miles, so just shy of 250 for being half way through the year and the goal.  Not too shabby!
Other items accomplished include :
new appliances - this was a necessary one after our fridge leaked
new carpet - much, much needed and made a world of difference
new kitchen floor - hated our old one but LOVE the new floors
utilize office - I really cleaned out the office and have been using it to write blog posts in way more often
paint bedrooms - they had to fit in with the new carpet!
paint kitchen knobs - possibility the easiest one to cross off

We've attacked a few other items that weren't no the list as well.
And don't think I didn't contemplate for a second writing them on the list only to cross them off when after we had already completed them.

So I say that's not too bad for being 6 months in! I am excited to cross the rest of the list off.  There are plans in motion for getting the other items accomplished!
How are your resolutions going?

Can I tell ya how much I loved this part: "And don't think I didn't contemplate for a second writing them on the list only to cross them off when after we had already completed them."

Totally sounds like me :P
Congrats on getting so much accomplished already!
