Compressed : A Review

*I received these socks through my ambassadorship with Sweat Pink but opinions are always my own

Runners are a crazy breed and I admit I am included in that group.
I have the headlamp for running at night, the same pair of shoes in two colors, the bright/crazy clothes, the belt to hold my phone and the most crazy, my alarm set early on Saturday mornings to get   up and get in my long run.
The one crazy piece of gear I had not embraced were the compression socks.
Manly because I didn't believe that realllly did anything.

Among the many things they are known for, manly compression socks are supposed to improve circulation during a run and recovery time after long runs.
Sounds silly, right?
I thought so too.
Until I tried them.
The first run I tried them with was a 7.5 mile run, after I had not run that distance in a very long time.
It did not take a long time for me to be a believer.  I felt no soreness or tiredness during my run (as I thought I would).
The next day I was so nervous my legs would be sore...nothing.
I have continued to wear them on most of my runs and I am a true convert.
Not too mention, they are great at keeping my legs warm on colder runs.
Along with moisture wicking technology they are just the right amount of tightness on your calves.

I went with the marathon black from PRO Compression and am very, very happy with them!
If you have a runner on your Christmas list, I would definitely suggest getting them a pair of these!
Lucky for you, PRO Compression is offering 40% off with the code PINK2 until December 15th!
Put some stockings in some you love stocking! I know I wouldn't hate it ;)

I think you guys know by now I cannot have a photo shoot in our house without the basset hound around.
I tried to make Floyd wear them but no dice...

Well, if you're going to be doing all that work, you need the right gear!! I wish Floyd had modeled the socks!! :)

I have always wondered if compression socks really did anything...but it looks like they do! I might have to give these a try as I get into running again!

Well now, I am intrigued! It's hard to imagine socks making a difference, but you would know! I'm still working on running two miles straight;)

Okay, you've got me interested now... when I was getting back into running after the IT band issues my legs were way more sore than they used to be after a run. And now that I'm going to be having even more time off, I think I need some for my NEXT return. Thanks for the intel!

I don't like to wear mine while I'm running. It doesn't feel good at all. However, I love wearing them after a run for recovery. It feels great!

i've been considering compression socks a while now, because i get terrible blisters after long runs and i'll pretty much try anything to prevent them. i might have to invest when i start training for a half in 2015!
