Weekend Wrap Up: Columbus

Monday, Monday...
I don't know about you but this time change really rocked my world.
But I will not be complaining about it staying lighter later!

Friday night Mister and I laid low, worked out, made homemade popcorn and watched Taken 2.
If you want quick access to Floyd's heart, make a bowl of popcorn.  I would almost dare to say he loves it more than peanut butter...

Saturday morning Katie, Emily and I headed north to Columbus to hang out with Katie's friend Kristin for the weekend!
We had a delicious lunch at Press Grill and then indulged in the famous Jeni's ice cream.
I have heard many, many fabulous things about Jeni's but had never experienced it's goodness for myself.
Oh. My.
I was seriously missing out in life.
I'm still thinking about it.
After ice cream we had a girly afternoon of shopping and mani/pedis.
We ate dinner at the cutest place called Mezzo
 (stole this one from @marriedwithapup)
I was too busy eating to snap a picture but on top of my meal was a piece of roasted kale that I am also still thinking about it was so good.
Ice cream and kale...totally normal choices.

Sunday we had brunch at Northstar.
Again, I had heard amazing reviews about Northstar and it did not disappoint either.
Super cute atmosphere and yummy food...winner in my book!
We shopped the afternoon away around the cutest area called Easton.
By far, one of the best outdoor malls I've ever seen.
I am already planning a trip back so Mister can check it out too.

It was a great girls weekend and I am so glad I got to see a lot of Columbus!
I had never spent any time there but it is a very cute city with a lot to offer!
We will be back!

How was your weekend?
Did the time change totally throw you?

Linking up with Sami, Leeann, Carly and Molly.

Easton is definitly one of the best places to shop in Columbus, and you can't go wrong with Northstar and Jeni's. Next time you guys are in Columbus, we should meet up! :)

All that ice cream and food looks delicious. You should head south to Lexington for a weekend sometime! I know you came for Keeneland once bc I remember your pic with PinkLouLou! :P Anyway. I really like your shirt...the ivory with black trim. Super cute.

Time change TOTALLY threw me too. And that is so funny that Floyd loves popcorn! Pierre tried it once, but isn't too interested. He just rolled it around in his mouth like he wasn't sure what to do with it. Ha!

I'm way too lazy and have not put together my post yet but I guarantee it will say the exact same thing haha. I seriously had the best time and love you girls!

AND how do you steal pics off of Instagram? Am I an idiot/is it obvious? Haha I always have Kristin send me her pics bc I don't know how to get them!

Ice cream. It looks like you had a great weekend. Toby just recently discovered popcorn. Now he stands by the micro when it pops.

I LOOOVE Mezzo! My mom lives not far from it, and we did a Dublin bar crawl there a few weeks ago. Also, we just got a basset! She is a girl, and already asked if floyd would consider long distance dating?

Looks like a fun weekend! And my dog Dudley LOVES popcorn more than anything. The moment I take out the air popper he gets excited. Which I guess means he takes after his mama! :)

Huck loves him so popcorn too! And I like throwing it up in the air and watching him catch it ;) Free entertainment.

Looks like you had a fun weekend!!

Okay first of all, your weekend looked amazing all around!

I'm curious... how was Taken 2? When I saw the previews, I was like, "how did she manage to get taken... again" but I understand it's a somewhat different plot.

Looks like a great weekend!

P.S. Is your friend wearing a studded blazer from Kohl's? If so... I have the same one! lol

Yum! Press Grille is definitely one of my favorite spots in the short north! Their Mac and Cheese... amazing.

What flavor did you try at Jeni's... I'm so boring, I always get the chocolate {tastes like brownie batter} and the Savannah mint. Delish combo.

You guys picked a perfect day to hit up Easton... it was a gorgeous day for that!!!!!! Sounds like such a nice weekend! Columbus is a lot of fun... always something new to try! Glad you you enjoyed it here!!!

I found your blog through Erin and had to comment on this post. I live in Columbus in the Short North so you were totally in my 'hood. Love the Press, Jeni's (I went there Sunday) and Northstar (that burrito is my fave) and I'm headed to Easton tomorrow (look out, wallet).

Oh, and I have a crush on Floyd.
