Total Basset Case: Currently

I feel like there is quite a bit going on lately but for time and sanity sake we are going to stick to a few categories today and link up with Anne and Jenna!

I am going to sneak an extra one in though...

Chuckling...at Floyd in his Halloween costume.  I will admit, I should have developed this costume more but regardless, it was funny.  I present to you...Floyd the construction worker.
We were at a friends for Halloween so our normal photo shoot did not happen.  Floyd was terribly upset...

Cooking...anything warm! We have really been loving Skinnytaste's Pumpkin Chili.  So creamy and delicious and not too pumpkiny.
Also on constant rotation is 3-4 chicken breasts in a crockpot covered in verde salsa.  The easiest.

Planning...a friendsgiving! We are SO excited.  Feeding friends is my love language.
Please send any turkey advice you have my way.  I've started a Pinterest board and am doing my best to not go completely overboard...

Smelling...all the fall candles.  We constantly have at least two going at all times.  It makes my heart happy.  Add in the pumpkin shaped and smelling wallflower and I am a happy camper.

Appreciating...(sappy moment) my Mister.  He's just really fantastic and I don't tell him enough.  Also my girlfriends.  I am lucky enough to have stellar ladies in my life and I am thankful every single day for them.   Whether they are near by or not, they are my lifeline and mean the world to me.

Anticipating...the start of the holiday season! I have already purchased a few gifts and am really trying to be ahead of the eight ball this year.  I would prefer to spend my time crafting and snuggling my boys while watching all the holiday movies.

He's a hoot in that - it makes his body look a mile long. Work it, Floyd! :)

I love that you're doing a Friendsgiving! You're a perfect host for that (and extra fun in the new kitchen, right?!) Going to have to put that on my list of goals for a future year, I think. Also putting that crockpot idea on my goal list much sooner... thanks for joining in!

Okay, so Southern Living has never failed me with Thanksgiving recipes. We always do this apple bourbon one in the oven: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/apple-bourbon-turkey-gravy. And then eaferri normally grills a breast for some extra white meat using this recipe: http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/citrus-grilled-turkey-breast. Eeee I only wish I could attend.

Also, I love you.

Pumpkin Chilli? I'm not a pumpkin fan but I do love chili. Sounds like something I need to try! Throwing a Friendsgiving is such a great Idea. I need to start planning that as well.

Happy Wednesday ♥

Floyd you look so sexy! And I've been loving easy stir fry recipes, particularly ones with an extra crunch (adding nuts & hard ramen)!

i love Floyd's costume and the fact that he lets you dress him up (Roscoe hates costumes/sweaters/etc). and Friendsgivings are the best – always one of my favorite parts of the holiday season :)
